​ANDY CHARALAMBOUS / HEP RESIDENCY

I am artist in residence for the High Energy Physics group at UCL, a position I have held since February 2011.  Over the last few years I have been producing science inspired art. This residency is allowing me to interact with the scientists at UCL and create new opportunities to create and show work.

 

I am also artist in residence for the Astronomy group at UCL, a position arranged  in June 2014.  Particle physics looks at the very small in our universe,  whilst astronomy looks at the very large.  Yet they are so interlinked that our understanding of one relies on the other.  I hope that my artistic response to each will be enhanced by my understanding of the other.
